World Vision, Kids Help Phone and a Community Youth Resources booklet

Sept. 14, 2014

In the draft Code of Ethics for Commissioners, earlier on this site, I included this clause:

“I will encourage any initiatives and projects undertaken by citizens that are specifically designed toward the well-being of students.”

The reason for this inclusion is the fact that as a citizen and a teacher, my students and I received no help whatsoever from the LBPSB.

In the first story involving  “World Vision,” the mayor of Pierrefonds, Monique Worth and MNA Yolande James contributed to our “30 hour Famine” and showed leadership by encouraging the students at Riverdale.

Note the upcoming posts on Kids Help Phone and a Youth Resources booklet , both aimed at helping our youth.
